DANCE SCHOLARSHIP AUDITIONS IN ATLANTA

The GDA Scholarship program is designed to promote a disciplined study of high-quality dance instruction. Scholarships are awarded to students based on financial need, artistic ability and availability. Scholarships are awarded three times a year to dancers who would like to take their dance training to a professional level and are available to students with any level of experience, beginning through advanced. Full and partial scholarships are available every four months.

• Participants will be accepted by audition only
• Must be ages 18-25 years old
• Full and partial scholarships available
• Program begins May 1, 2014 

Auditions will be held Sunday, April 27th at 5pm. 

Please bring the following to the audition:

• Completed Scholarship application. Click HERE to download application

• Four Letters of Recommendation

• Proof of household income. If residing with parent(s), Proof of Household Income for the parent(s) and/or legal guardian in which the student resides. This should be the most recent tax return.

• Type a 500 word essay that is double spaced in a word document on the following:  Why you would like to participate in the GDA Scholarship Program and what makes you the idea candidate for the program. What do you have to offer GDA's studio and staff?

DANCE TEAM AUDITIONS IN ATLANTA

Georgia Prancing Princesses Dance Team will be holding auditions for young girls ages 8-16 in all styles of dance. This is a new dance team to the Georgia area. Auditions are free and open to all dance levels. The audition will take place Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 12:00 - 1:30pm at North Druid Hills Dance Center (3334 North Druid Hills Rd. Suite A, Decatur, GA).

FIGHTING GRAVITY (SIX FLAGS OVER GEORGIA) DANCE AUDITIONS THIS WEEKEND

On March 7th & 8th, 2014, FIGHTING GRAVITY will be holding auditions for talented, enthusiastic and high-energy male or female dancers, heights ranging from 5' to 6'2", to join this revolutionary dark arts group for a performance run at Six Flags Over Georgia. You may also need to be available for a callback audition on Sunday, March 9th, 2014. Auditions will be held at Six Flags Over Georgia on Friday and Saturday, March 7th and 8th at 12:00pm. There will be signs to direct you once you are near the park.

A choreographer will be on-site to provide a short dance combination for the audition and everyone is expected to participate. Dancers must be able to perform technical routines, preferably efficient in hip-hop, some breaking (spins) and comfortable working with props. These routines will be performed in a dark, black light environment with the use of hand-held props and other unique items. Performers faces will not be seen during the performance.

To be considered, you must be available to commit to the following dates: March 20th -- April 13th and July 11th -- August 10th. Please bring a copy of any 2014 scheduling conflicts. Headshot and resume are appreciated but not required. This is a paid job.
