"WHEN RHYTHM MET BLUES" CASTING CALL

Move Newz Productions is looking for the ultimate triple threat!!!

We will be casting dancers, singers and actors for our summer production of the hit musical “When Rhythm Met Blues”, Directed by: Eboni Warren and Original Choreography by: Rob Myers. We are looking to cast 20-30 performers. Please bring headshot and resume!

When Rhythm Met Blues takes us on a journey down the trail of bitterness to the path of ultimate forgiveness. Rhythm, our resident socialite and all-around fun girl, has her world rocked when she encounters Barry “Blues” whose, low-key, yet candid persona, challenges Rhythm to self-reflect and evaluate her surroundings as well as herself.  This production  will have you dancing and singing along through the highs and lows of this well-crafted cast of characters with a hint of comedy and a storyline that is sure to resonate with its audiences.

The production is set for July 21-22, 2012 at Southern Polytechnic University.

Dancers:  Please come warmed up and ready to dance.  Sample choreography will be taught, and if chosen to move forward you will be expected to do a freestyle portion.

Singers: Please prepare a song of your choice and provide the accompanying track on CD or sing acapella, if you choose.

If you are selected to the second round of auditions, you will be asked to read lines from the script.

ATLANTA FALCONS CHEER AUDITIONS

We're looking for the next group of ladies of the New South! Atlanta Falcons Cheerleader auditions are coming up and we're looking for the best Atlanta has to offer.

The Atlanta Falcons are looking for enthusiastic ladies with a dance/cheer background, a positive attitude, a winning smile and dedication to be the best. 

Preliminary auditions will be held Sunday, April 29, 2012 at the Georgia Wold Congress Center (Georgia Ballroom), Registration will occur between 8-10am . There will be at least two cuts on April 29 for preliminaries. Lunch will not be provided and no concessions will be open, so bring any food or drinks you may need. Please plan on staying all day as finalists will be announced following the second cut. 

Should you become a finalist, there will be a mandatory 15-minute interview on Monday, April 30,2012. This will be arranged at the preliminary audition. You will also attend a mandatory Boot camp on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 7pm and learn the final cut on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 6:30pm.

Final auditions will be held Thursday, May 3,2012 at the Arthur M. Blank Family Office. Registration will begin at 5:30 pm and auditions start at 6:30pm. All instructions for final auditions will be provided for you at your finalist interview.

AUDITION ATTIRE
Preliminaries – a two-piece leotard (bra top and dance trunks). If you do not have this, a one-piece leotard with matte flesh color tights, white socks and tennis shoes. No dance pants, please.

Interview – The interview is business/professional dress.

Finals – 2-piece leotard/work-out outfit, skin-tone color tights, white socks and white tennis shoes (if possible).

SWAGGER KIDZ DANCE COMPANY AUDITION

MTV's Made and Randy Jackson's America's Best Dance Crew Season 5 Choreographer, Jason Croom, will hold Auditions for the exciting Swagger Kidz Dance Company in conjunction with Swagger Crew Fit Kidz, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that fights childhood obesity. Saturday April 28th, 2012 3pm-5pm.

Sponsored by our amazing partners Gotta Dance Atlanta. Swagger Kidz Dance Company is made up of Hip Hop and Jazz dancers, Boys and Girls, ages 7-17, ALL ethnicity. All levels welcome, from beginners to advanced! Auditions will determine appropriate age and placement level.

The dance company will represent Swagger Crew Fit Kidz at multiple events throughout the year. Exciting opportunities to hone your skills and exposure!
