MOVING IN THE SPIRIT DANCE AUDITIONS

Moving in the Spirit, an award-winning dance program in Atlanta, GA, is looking for talented, passionate young dancers to join our performance companies. 

Auditions will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013.
2pm-4pm: Apprentice Corporation auditions (advanced performance company for teens ages 13-18)
2:30pm-4pm: Junior Company and Men in Motion auditions (intermediate companies for girls ages 9-12 and boys ages 10-13).

Students in our intermediate companies perform in Atlanta venues and at Moving in the Spirit's home theater.

 

Dancers in our advanced company, the Apprentice Corporation, have the opportunity to perform throughout the year and earn a spot in our summer touring company. Our tours have traveled nationally and internationally, with performances in Chicago, New York, Sacramento, Panama, France, the Czech Republic, and Hungary.

Dancers should arrive wearing comfortable clothing they can move in. No ballet, jazz or tap shoes required. Dancers will warm up together, then learn and perform two short dance combinations taught by Moving in the Spirit choreographers. Dancers will be scored by a panel of judges on their dance technique, maturity and focus throughout audition.
