Talent Specifications

Note: this is a non-union role. We’re looking for extremely talented dancers who have both hip-hop and extreme technical training. This commercial spot will syndicate across multiple television platforms promoting various Billboard, Top 40, hits displayed on Hot Adult Contemporary radio stations. The choreography will be along the lines of the reference video below.

Principal

Four lead dancers. Two male and two female. Ages 18-25 that read young adult. We will consider 16-17 if a parent or legal guardian accompanies the dancer. All ethnicities welcome. Caucasian a plus. Dancers need to be in great physical condition. Females between 5’2 and 5’6. Males between 5’5 and 5’11. Men, no facial hair. Talent must have a young, fresh, modern look and feel.

Rate: 500.00 Shoot + 100.00 Rehearsal (Agency fee included in rate)
Shoot will be approximately 8-10 hours

Complete buyout and unlimited rights and usage. Note: the tv spots we create are essentially generic in nature, and as such are designed to air in multiple markets and created on an as needed basis. Therefore there is no set media buy let alone control of placement.

XTENSITY AUDITIONS

Xtensity is the new adult contemporary jazz dance company at Dancefx Atlanta. We are looking for talented and passionate contemporary jazz dancers aged 18 and up for Atlanta's newest dance company. Led under the direction of Danielle Mason Hosker (award winning choreographer and founding director of Dancefx Athens, Dancefx Charleston, Dancefx Concert Dance Company and the Charleston Dance Project), this is a great opportunity to become a member of an exciting new performance company. "Project 7" 2012-2013 Company Auditions

 

Project 7 is seeking male and female dancers ages 18 and older. Dancers must be strong in contemporary, ballet, partnering and weight sharing. Whoever is selected must be available to rehearse every other Sunday from 11:30am-4:00pm. Please bring bio and headshot. Please be prepared to learn choreography quickly, phrase and improv. There will be same day call back interviews following the audition.

"GOOD OR BAD HAIR: THE NEW CLASS" AUDITIONS

Join us as we strive to revitalize quality musical theatre with a focus on traditional dance forms and vocal performance. Tina Fears (Creative Director) and Rob Myers (Lead Choreographer) have joined forces to present Good and Bad Hair- The New Class! This is an updated adaptation of the historic dance number from Spike Lee's 1988 film- School Daze. This scene is the battle between The Jigga Boo's and The Wanna Bee's. These 20 ladies battle over the quality of their hair, social status, complexion of their skin and, of course, men. Tina and Rob haven given the scene a modern twist in order to address the issues first presented in 1988, and the relevance they still have in 2012! The project will be presented in a short film format and will potentially be used during the opening and intermission of live productions, hair shows throughout Atlanta and featured on various social media outlets.
